We all know Cuba has a reputation for not having the best food, however, this was not the case during my stay, I was utterly surprised with the robust flavors and combinations my palate tasted.

So if you’re looking for darn good food, this is your guide on where to eat in Havana.  Satisfy your growling stomach with the bold and unique flavors in this list.

The aesthetic of the place is simply stunning!

Be sure to arrive early as many tours visit this popular spot, so it gets overcrowded. There’s a wide variety of food you can choose from and you will find some of the friendliest people you’ll encounter in Cuba.

Fabrica de Arte Cubano

Fabrica de Arte Cubano is a well-known bar that offers live shows often. Cocktails are available as well as fast food-like options such as fries, burgers, and more. This place tends to get a bit crowded and the prices can be on the expensive side.

The Hotel Nacional features four different bars that are open at various hours and in several locations across the hotel. However, I recommended grabbing a barstool at Vista All Golfo Bar. Every inch of this bar has photographs of gangsters, politicians, writers, and celebrities who have visited dating back to the 1930s. 

Their mojitos are are the pricier side compared to other bars in Havana, Cuba. However, their mojito is unique and has a concoction of both light and dark rum.  

El Cocinero

El Cocinero is situated on a terrace, which allows you to see the Cuban skyline perfectly. At night, the place lights up and you can have a good time surrounded by great drinks and extraordinary food. The prices are affordable and they have a selection of Caribbean, Latin, and Cuban food options.

Azúcar Lounge and Bar

If you’re looking for a beautiful and relaxed bar, Azúcar Lounge and Bar is the place to go. Decorated with nice sofas and unique furniture to enjoy while sipping on your cocktail. As for the drinks they serve characteristic and international options that are affordable and will quench your thirst.  

O’Reilly 304

If you want to eat abundant food and have the best drinks of all in Havana, O’Reilly 304 is the spot to go. It offers Latin, Spanish, Cuban, and Caribbean traditional dishes and drinks.

    I love your travel style! Eating all the tasty things is honestly the best way to explore any city, but it looks amaaaazing in Havana. I love the sound of all the fusion dishes, but if I am honest I would mostly love to try something like El Bicky and taste the real deal…
